Museum of 20th­­­­-21st Century Art of St Petersburg and its education team invite visitors to a new lecture course dedicated to the history of world art from ancient times to the present day!

Belvedere Apollo and Farnese Hercules, Laocoön and Nika of Samothrace are sculptural masterpieces known even to an unsophisticated viewer. Masters who created these iconic images all belong to the Hellenistic period, and it is this mysterious time that will be discussed at the new lecture of the MASP Art School! We shall learn more about Alexander the Great's conquests, discover the secrets of genius sculptors Lysippos and Leochares and explore the reliefs of the famous Pergamon Altar.
